FIRST INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE „CHILD MALTREATMENT & WELL-BEING“, Rijeka, Croatia, July 7-8, 2017

The first interdisciplinary international scientific conference on “Child maltreatment and well-being: Contemporary issues, research and practice” will be held in Rijeka, Croatia, July 7-8, 2017Host institutions of the 2017 conference are the School of Medicine and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka, Croatia. The 2017 conference is supported by the Croatian Ombudsman for Children.

The aim of the conference is to bring together an interdisciplinary community of scientists and professionals working in the field of child maltreatment and child well-being and to exchange latest research, good practice, strategies and policies on children’s welfare. You are invited to submit abstracts for presentations and posters on various contemporary topics in the field of child maltreatment and well-being. You can submit abstracts of your recent research on contemporary issues regarding children, or evaluations and suggestions on good practice. After the conference, selected papers will be published in a conference book. A double-layered blind review process will be undertaken to select suitable conference papers to make up for chapters in this book to be published by the end of 2017.

Deklaracija za mlade koji su u procesu izlaska iz skrbi

Ovog ljeta (od 17. do 25. kolovoza 2016) u Beču, FICE Austrija organizirala je Međunarodnu razmjenu mladih pod nazivom „Be the change“.

Projekt je okupio 53 mladih (od 18 do 25 godina) iz 15 zemalja svijeta koji su uz podršku 21 profesionalca kreirali 10 standarda za mlade koji su u procesu izlaska iz skrbi (pod nazivom „Declaration for care leavers“). Mladi uključeni u projekt i sami su u tijeku izlaska iz skrbi.

Standardi su prezentirani na 33. FICE Kongresu i 2 CYC konferenciji pred 600 sudionika. Visoki predstavnici navedenih međunarodnih organizacija službeno i javno su prihvatili standarde te se obavezali usmjeriti svoje djelovanje ka njihovoj realizaciji.

Projekt su financijski pomogli: EU program Erasmus+, FICE International, UNICEF Austria, organizacija TIPITI i brojni drugi.
